Transaction management

The system supports various types of transactions, including both the main types of financial transactions that lead to fund settlements, and additional transactions used to obtain information, tokenize or encrypt data.

The system supports the following types of transactions, as described in the table below.

Transaction type

Description

Payment

Used for debiting funds for single-step payments.

Authorization

Blocking funds for two-stage payment.

Capture

Debiting of the previously blocked funds for two-step payments.

Void

Cancel the previous blocking of the funds.

Credit

Payment to the client.

Refund

Full or partial refund of the previously debited amount.

Reversal

Cancellation of a completed payment with a refund of the entire amount to the payer's card.

Chargeback

Bank initiated Chargeback. As a rule, a chargeback occurs if the merchant refused to refund the payer, but the Bank decided that the merchant is obliged to return the money to the client (for example, for an unproven service).

Checkup

Performs full verification of bank details, including Limits and 3-D secure, but without sending transaction data to the bank.

Fraud Advice

Collecting fines for a Chargeback.

Payout

Payout of funds from the account to the client's card.

P2P

Transfer of funds from card to card between private persons.

Each transaction has a status displayed in the system as an icon described in the table below.

Icon

Status

Status description

Successful

Payment was made successfully.

Failed

Payment failed.

 

Incomplete

The transaction has started, most likely the customer was redirected to the 3-D Secure verification form, and the system is waiting for the customer to return.

 

Pending

The payment request was created successfully and is waiting for a payment notification. This status is usually used for alternative payment methods.

 

Expired

The payment request has not been paid, and the payment period has expired, or a new payment request has been created with the same order/invoice or contract number. This status is usually used for alternative payment methods.

 

Deleted

The payment request was deleted by the merchant.

 

Suspicious

An additional status. Assigned when the transaction didn’t pass

the check against the Smart Routing rule with Review action.

 

Converted

An additional status. A transaction was converted to another currency via the Converter service. For more information, see Currency converter service.

Transaction management is available to users with the Admin, Account Manager and Support Manager roles, through actions available to each role differ, as described in the table below.
