Payout balance management
To control payout transactions that merchants initiate in favor of their customers, the system displays the following balance amounts in the real time mode:
-
Gateway balance: the amount in a certain currency available for payouts through the channel;
-
Shop balance: the aggregated amount of all the gateway balances of the merchant's shop;
-
Merchant balance: the aggregated amount of all the merchant’s shop balances;
-
Channel balance: the aggregated amount of the balances for all the merchants with the payment channel activated for their shop gateways.
The available balance is the total amount in a certain currency that the merchant can pay out to their customers through the channel. It is reduced by the amount of only successfully processed payout transactions, and it does not include the amount of pending payout transactions.
The amount of pending payout transactions is shown separately from the amount of the available balance. It reveals the total amount of payout transactions, for which the system has not yet received the final processing status.
If the amount of a transaction to be processed exceeds the available balance, the system rejects the transaction due to security rules.
